Surface Preparation

Surface must be clean from any loose particle, grease, oil etc. Concrete substrate should be pre-wetted with water at least 3-4 hours prior to pouring the grout. Standing water should be removed prior to placing the grout.

Formwork

Always ensure that the formwork is watertight and sealed. Sealants can be used to seal gaps between formwork and concrete, as well as joints in the formwork. Grout delivery hopper should be of adequate height and always pour grout from one side and ensure that the grout fill the voids without entrapping air.

Mixing

Add 3.3 litre water for plastic & 3.5 litre water for fluid consistency and mix it properly with slow-speed electric drill. Always add powder to water and continue stirring until mixture is free from lumps and smooth & creamy consistency is obtained. Mixing time should be approximately 3 minutes. Use cool water if temperature is above 35 ºC.

Apply

Mixed grout should be poured at one point to avoid entrapping air. For best results, grout should be poured within 10 to 15 minutes of mixing. Grouting should be carried out continuously so ensure to have enough grout ready to place. Ensure no grout loss through formwork or between unsealed joints. Plug unsealed joints immediately.

Curing

Avoid rapid drying and excessive heat. Use moist hessian cloth or plastic sheet for curing or use curing compound Master Cure A.
